Matrimony
A sacred covenant of love uniting a man and a woman in Christ.
What is Matrimony?
The Sacrament of Matrimony is a sacred covenant in which a baptized man and a baptized woman freely give themselves to one another in a lifelong bond of love and fidelity.
Through this sacrament, husband and wife become a visible sign of Christ’s love for His Church.

Marriage is not only a human commitment but a vocation and a calling from God, strengthened by grace to live a life of faithful love, mutual support, and openness to life.

“Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”
— Matthew 19:6

The Church accompanies married couples not only on their wedding day, but throughout their married life.
